Screening and identification

It is important to identify cognitively strong functioning in students at an early stage in order to meet their educational needs. By doing so, schools can take preventive action to help avoid future challenges such as reduced well-being, underachievement, or early school leaving.

  • How can you recognise cognitively strong learners in the classroom?
  • What is the difference between learning characteristics and non-cognitive personality traits?
  • Which resources can you use within your broad basic care and within increased support?
  • What classroom-wide screening tools are available to help detect signs of cognitive strength?
  • How can you confirm initial suspicions using a formal identification protocol?

Rates

  • In-service training – 2 hours: €375 (incl. 21% VAT)

  • In-service training – 3 hours: €550 (incl. 21% VAT)

  • Travel reimbursement: €1.00/km
