Acceleration

Cognitively gifted students tend to think and learn more quickly than their average-ability peers.
In some cases, their instructional lead is so substantial that acceleration—one of the most effective educational adaptations for cognitively gifted learners—should be seriously considered.

  • What types of acceleration exist?
  • Which criteria should be considered when deciding on acceleration?
  • How does the process work in practice?
  • What are the potential pitfalls?
  • Are there tools or methods that help determine—objectively and reliably—whether a child is ready to make the leap to a higher grade?
  • How can we incorporate this procedure into our school’s care and support policy?

Rates

  • In-service training – 2 hours: €375 (incl. 21% VAT)
  • In-service training – 3 hours: €550 (incl. 21% VAT)
  • Travel reimbursement: €1.00/km
