I am Ilse, daughter, partner, mom of 2 gifted children, civil engineer architect, and with great passion and conviction also child and youth coach.

My children have been my inspiration to start as a child and youth coach. They both accelerated a year in school. The mindset training our son took brought new insights for us as parents. We started parenting differently: focusing more on challenges and learning moments at school, but mostly and very often outside of school. Since then I have been a fierce advocate of the growth mindset.

In my practice 'De kracht in jezelf' ('The power in yourself') in Zandhoven, I guide children, adolescents, and parents with their questions concerning giftedness, mindset, and learning. I believe very much in the power and individuality of children and young people! For me, this is the starting point to help them tackle their problems and challenges step by step.

As a coach, I provide a safe and confidential environment where every story, concern, and question is treated with respect. Through training and one-on-one coaching sessions, I work with your child to find the strength within themselves.

As a parent I also like to help you on your way through counseling sessions, I like to share my knowledge and experience and give you useful tools to get started yourself.

Together we set out to strengthen your child from his talents and skills, to understand himself better, and to grow.
