Game to eliminate misconceptions and myths about giftedness in a teacher team (in Dutch)

This game 'Begaafdheid: feit of fabel?' about misconceptions of giftedness for teachers is a publication of Hoogbloeier®, developed by Dr. Sabine Sypré, PhD in psychology and ECHA Specialist in Gifted Education. The game is based on the previously published Prejudice Game (for teachers) and the Junior version (for students) about giftedness in children by APS and Ten Brink Publishers, and the Prejudice Game Giftedness Adults published by APS and IHBV.

The cards feature 48 statements about giftedness and cognitive strong functioning. Some are facts, others are based on prejudices. The goal of the game is to nuance thinking about giftedness. The discussion about why a statement is seen as a fact or prejudice is the core of the game. It is important that the game is guided by an expert with scientifically substantiated knowledge about giftedness and cognitive strong functioning. The cards are developed according to the vision of Project TALENT and scientific literature. The game can be played individually or in a group.
