Giftedness Coach program

Giftedness Coach program

As a healthcare professional, you frequently encounter gifted children or adolescents. Are you a therapist aiming to gain deeper insights into why cognitively gifted youths sometimes struggle with underachievement, enabling you to provide more effective guidance? Or perhaps you're a psychologist, educational psychologist, coach, or similar professional, regularly assisting gifted children/adolescents in your practice, and you're eager to acquire additional knowledge to enrich your skills?

If you resonate with any of these scenarios, our Giftedness Coach training program is tailored for you. Through this extensive and comprehensive course, you'll enhance your theoretical understanding and practical skills in diagnosing and supporting gifted individuals and underachievers within your counseling practice. Throughout the program, you'll delve into concrete case studies alongside the scientific theories, empowering you to offer well-informed advice paired with effective practical strategies.

This program is designed for healthcare professionals (such as psychologists, educational psychologists, coaches, etc.) already engaged in working with gifted and talented children, adolescents, and adults, who are seeking further theoretical insights and practical expertise.

Program

The program comprises a blend of both theoretical knowledge and practical application modules, fostering critical thinking and hands-on skills. While certain modules are mandatory for all participants, others are optional, offering flexibility to tailor the program to better suit individual needs or target audiences. Elective modules are available for coaches working with children, adolescents, or adults. You can refer to the model program for each target group provided below, or you have the option to customize your program. Participants of the program begin each training day with coffee or tea, during which we reflect on the previous training day, and we also have lunch together at noon. The schedule for a training day is as follows:

9:30 am: Introduction or reflection on the previous module
10:30 am: Start of knowledge or practical module
12:30 pm: Lunch
2:00 pm: Start of knowledge or practical module
4:30 pm: End of session and debrief

Each program concludes with a reunion day for the entire group. On this day, we dedicate ample time to address all your questions, review the exam for the mandatory portion (for those who wish to take it), and organize an intervision session where your cases can be discussed.

Study workload

The study workload for the course is 75 hours, consisting of 26 hours attending modules, 8 hours of reflection sessions, 7 hours of intervision and exam explanation, 32 hours of self-study, and 2 hours for the exam.

Certificate

Participants who attend 80% of the modules will receive a certificate of completion. Following this program, there will be a theoretical exam. Upon passing, participants can receive a Giftedness Coach Diploma.
