I am Sophie Vanbiervliet. I studied Applied Economics at the University of Leuven and had a career in the commercial sector. Psychology and the well-being of people was already a passion for some time and I followed the training to become a psychotherapist at the Academy for Integrative and Humanistic Psychology and Psychotherapy in Ghent. For my thesis, I worked with gifted children on their well-being. I taught them to rediscover the strength in themselves so that they could continue happily and strongly. Of course, this subject did not come easily.

As a mother of 3 children, giftedness came my way. With great courage and enthusiasm, I started the search for the best guidance at school, the optimal approach at home, and the search for what gives them wings. The subject never left me. I further specialized as a gifted coach and today I am ready to help you blossom.

Perhaps you are a parent with a gifted child and are looking for the best approach at home. Or your child finds it all boring in class and you don't know how best to start a conversation at school. Or you notice that your child is afraid of failure, or very perfectionistic. Or your child does not show at school what he is capable of. At school, this is called "underachievement." Or maybe you are a teacher and are looking for answers on how to best guide these (highly) gifted children in the classroom.

I also offer career coaching for adults. As a career coach, I will work with you to find the values and talents that drive you. We explore your possibilities so that you can and dare to take the steps towards a better balance and more satisfaction. I like to listen to your story to discover where you are stuck, but especially to see where you are succeeding, why this is, and how we can strengthen this.
