Some cognitively gifted students strongly dislike enrichment tasks and tend to avoid them by only completing the easy assignments. As soon as real effort is required, they start to feel “stupid” because the answers no longer come effortlessly. These students often operate from a fixed mindset.
- How do you teach children—not just the gifted—to dare, to fail, and to persevere?
- The way students think about intelligence affects their performance—positively with a growth mindset ("I’ll try") or negatively with a fixed mindset ("I won’t even bother").
- How can you, as a teacher, help students develop a growth mindset in the classroom? How do you teach them to dare to try, to learn from failure, and to understand that effort is part of learning?
- A proactive approach to preventing underachievement!
Rates
- In-service training – 2 hours: €375 (incl. 21% VAT)
